The MHT300 boasts the McIntosh look we know and love — black glass front panel, big metal knobs, and illuminated logo. But it's more than just a pretty face. With a high-powered amplifier rated at 120 x 7 channels (or 150 x 7 into 4 ohms), this receiver can easily drive your modern home theater to new heights. And with its seven state-of-the-art DACs, you'll be impressed with the details revealed in movie soundtracks.

Remarkable surround sound, tailored to your specific room

Set up a seven-channel Dolby Atmos or DTS:X system for room-filling, 3D surround sound. Or you can take advantage of the preamp outputs on the rear panel by using separate amplifiers to run 11 channels in a 7.2.4 or 9.2.2 system. That means you can power an ultra-immersive system with up to four upward-firing or in-ceiling speakers for overhead effects. Either way, this receiver accurately reproduces every aspect of a movie's soundtrack with power and precision.

Dirac Live® is one of the finest room correction systems in the industry, and it comes standard on the MHT300. Use the included microphone and run the Dirac software on your laptop to take precise sound measurements in your room. After the software completes the test, it then creates a personalized EQ correction curve for all your speakers, made to overcome your room's specific acoustic challenges. By using Dirac, you'll let your speakers achieve their full sonic potential and bring your surround sound to exciting new heights.

A high-speed switching power supply ensures efficient, stable, and noise-free operation. And just in case you get carried away, McIntosh's patented Power Guard circuit prevents amplifier clipping to protect your speakers.
